I’m adopting a beautiful kitten in april, however now I’m debating adopting her litter mate as well, just so she won’t be lonely when I’m working. However to do this I need to know how much I will be spending on the cats before I can make my final decision. I’m buying a premium cat food, so they won’t be overeating because of empty calories, and I’m planning on being proactive on keeping them at a healthy weight. If you have only one cat, tell me how long a bag of food lasts for that cat (specify the size of the bag) If you have 2 or more cats, tell me the info on that as well. Thanks very much in advance.

I was wondering if there was any way I could reduce the allergenic properties of a cat? I know they "engineer" hypoallergenic cats, but they are ridiculously expensive. I was wondering if there was anything I could put in the kitten’s food, or a kind of shampoo or something that would make it better? My roommate is allergic to cats but I really really want to get a kitten.

I have a new kitten who is four months old. I got him a few months ago while living away from home, but recently moved back home with my mom. She has a 15 year old cat. I decided to buy good quality food for my kitten, and purchased Wellness Kitten formula dry food, supplemented with wet twice a day. My mom’s cat has CRF and eats a mix of Fancy Feast dry and a special diet for CRF. However, they are both lower quality foods. The problem is my kitten can’t seem to get enough of the older cats food. Every time he gets a chance, he is gobbling up her food like crazy. And, every time he does it, he gets either diarrhea or gas from the lower quality ingredients.
I am wanting to find a good food for both CRF cats and kittens alike. Any suggestions? I was thinking about just mixing regular Wellness Adult formula and Wellness Kitten formula together. But would this cause the senior cat any problems, or make them worse?
