I have a ten year old cat, Smokey and four year old cat, Misty. I got them from the humane society when they were kittens. Smokey has started showing signs of old age, he sleeps more than usual, seems to have trouble getting up, possibly from arthritis and doesn’t play as much. I have him on Excel Senior Vitamins for Cats, but I feel like I should be doing more. They currently are fed Purina One Indoor Cat food through a free-for-all system – their bowl is down 24/7. I would like to start feeding him a Senior cat food, but I don’t want Misty to eat it. I have tried to feed them on a schedule, where they get 1/2 a cup of food twice a day, but Misty does not like that and stops using the litterbox. Is it alright for Smokey to eat regular cat food? If not, how can I help Misty?
Runty goes a little crazy for chicken. She ended up taking my dinner and eating up most of it. The other cats know better than to bother her when chicken is in view. I took the bones away from her soon after the video, I didn’t want her to choke on cooked chicken bones. Yep, Runty loves chicken

She scratches so badly that she has broken almost all of her whiskers off, and she has several open sores. She probably has allergies, to what i’m not sure. I’ve already switched to a hypoallergenic cat food.
I have taken her to the vet, her answer was allergies. i give her a bath about once a week, the next day shes back to scratching. she drinks out of a stainless steel bowl and ive checked her for fleas.

We gave her some rice with japanese “dashi”, a powder made up of dried fish, seaweed, mushrooms and sake, used to make “misoshiru”(miso soup)and other japanese dishes. PS. Both the rice and the dashi are organic, and our cat isn’t japanese!
